As an international logistics provider, SUARDIAZ offers agile, secure, and bespoke integrated FCL and LCL transport solutions worldwide.
This acquisition consolidates its presence in refrigerated transport and the food sector, driving operational synergies.
Madrid, 8 April 2026 – SUARDIAZ Group, a global logistics provider and shipowner, has announced the acquisition of Transporte Multimodal Canario (TMC), a company specialising in temperature-controlled transport between Mainland Spain and the Canary Islands, for both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments.
As an international logistics operator, SUARDIAZ provides agile, secure, and tailored integrated FCL and LCL solutions across the globe. Furthermore, the company possesses deep expertise in routes between the Mainland and the Canary Islands, where it operates as a shipowner via a weekly service connecting Barcelona with the archipelago. This capability is further enhanced by the management of other transport modes and warehousing facilities in the islands—a strategic hub due to its unique customs and tax regulations.
Through this operation, the Group reinforces its traffic between the Mainland and the Canary Islands, consolidates its positioning in refrigerated transport, and expands its specialisation in the food sector, incorporating a client portfolio linked to major retail and distribution chains. Additionally, the integration of TMC will generate significant synergies with other areas of the Group, strengthening its value proposition as an end-to-end logistics provider.
“The acquisition of TMC represents a strategic step for SUARDIAZ Group. It allows us to strengthen our routes between the Mainland and the Canary Islands and incorporate new capabilities in refrigerated transport, thereby expanding our presence in the food sector. We are reinforcing our established position as a leading Group for maritime connections between the Peninsula and the Canaries,” states Juan Riva, CEO of SUARDIAZ Group.
