Customs services with our own agents
SUARDIAZ Group provides a comprehensive customs representation service to facilitate imports and exports, as well as transits, for all kinds of goods. We advise our clients about excise classification in order to optimise time and reduce the number of physical and documentary checks needed, which can delay their arrival at their final destination.
We take care of all the paperwork throughout the process: CBAM declarations, inspection services (phytosanitary, SOIVRE, pharmaceutical, veterinary, etc.), we handle movement certificates (EUR1 certificate), ATA carnets, etc. We understand the features of each document and the most efficient way to fill them in to speed up approvals.
As part of our customs services, we attend inspections and obtain priority when additional checks are needed (orange or red codes in the customs clearance process). We also physically represent our clients and handle their EORI registration.
As comprehensive logistics consultants, we also have a wider understanding of multimodal transportation to ensure goods arrive on time.
Experts in national customs systems
ContactThe SUARDIAZ Group customs services include the use of warehouses (ADT, DA, DDA and LAME). These are spread between the main ports in Spain (Valencia, Barcelona, Vigo, Seville and Bilbao, among others) to give our clients the best coverage.
Over the years, we have seen how the Union Customs Code (UCC) and legislation regarding customs have developed and adapted to the times. As a result of our experience and the continuous training of our teams, we can continue to offer our clients a quality service.
At SUARDIAZ Group, we believe that specialisation and collaboration are the best way to deal with the needs of our clients’ projects. One example is SUARDIAZ Shipping Lines, our vehicular cargo maritime transport division for which we cover the customs services nationally.
Agility and specialisation
As an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), we enjoy the trust of the authorities, which reduces the number of inspections, simplifies the customs process and streamlines the import and export of our clients’ goods.
SUARDIAZ Group offers added value to the customs service because it has advisors for the entire process, not just for the customs clearances. As well as having served clients from very different sectors, this specialisation has given our team extensive experience in all customs-related matters.
FAQs
What is customs clearance?
This is an administrative process for the entry, transit and departure of goods in a customs territory. It consists of a series of processes that vary depending on the type of cargo and the country through which it is moving for the purposes of checking, supervising and authorising each operation.
The person responsible for undertaking this clearance process is the customs agent as the representative of the company that owns the goods. The documentation needed to complete the clearance includes information about the exporter or importer, the origin and destination of the cargo, as well as a description of it (weight, volume, type).
Customs warehouses: what are they and what are the different types?
These are warehouses that have been authorised by the customs authorities to store goods temporarily while clearance is applied for. They may be inside or outside the port, although in both instances they come under the jurisprudence of customs.
There are two kinds of customs warehouses:
- Public: free warehousing spaces that any company can use. These can be classified by responsibility: A (the warehouse is responsible), B (the client is responsible) and F (the customs authorities are responsible).
- Private: these belong to a custodian and they can therefore only be used for their goods. These can be classified as: C (when the clearance process is as usual since the warehouse and the client are the same person), D (the same, but with a simplified direct clearance process) and E (when the warehouse is used for just one operation).
Benefits of contracting our customs services
SUARDIAZ Group provides customs agents with national coverage, which is why the service is centralised in Spain with one sole provider. We take care of presenting the clearance, but our customs department offers a more extensive service to cover the needs of our clients in this domain. As comprehensive logistics consultants, we also provide advice before import and fill out Intrastat paperwork, CBAM declarations and we present the S1 and S2 forms for the delivery of cash on vessels.
We also act as shipping agents, making sure that the corresponding documentation for all the cargo entering or leaving is in order. As such, we optimise time and we improve the transit of goods through ports.
Why contract the customs services of SUARDIAZ Group?
SUARDIAZ Group provides a customs service with its own agents, customised to each client. We have a specialised department that supports other parts of the group and puts forward the most efficient solutions, bearing in mind the paperwork to be carried out and the type of customs process.
