The project was awarded to MONTUBE in 2022
SUARDIAZ Group and NAVANTIA have been collaborating for over 25 years
Cádiz, 14th May 2024.– MONTUBE, a SUARDIAZ Group company, has completed the work contracted by NAVANTIA on the first of the two fixed wind turbine structures (Jackets + Cable Deck) that make up the OCEAN WINDS LEMS project, manufactured at the Navantia Seanergies shipyard in Puerto Real.
MONTUBE is a TIER-1 company with the capacity to manage a project of this magnitude. For this reason, it is the main subcontractor of NAVANTIA SEANERGIES in Puerto Real for the development of this project, who awarded it a turnkey contract in 2022 that includes the fabrication, assembly, installation of secondary steel, electricity and painting, among other activities.
For the development of the project MONTUBE has relied on its large team of professionals who make up the company, contributing their experience such as welders, boilermakers, handlers, engineers, mechanics, etc. Likewise, its collaborating companies (QWS, SACEKON, GADITANA, EMPSE, INTEC -HEAT, ATRIDEL etc.) have been key in this project for quality control, painting, preheating and scaffolding, among others.
According to Susana Uyá Pedrosa, SUARDIAZ Group’s Industrial Services Director, ‘more than 25 years working for NAVANTIA are our guarantee and, during this time, our specialised team has shown its commitment to the client by contributing its knowledge, strategies in the field of logistics and shipbuilding and offshore, improving the product and the quality of the services at anytime. Undoubtedly, experience is key and this is what we have demonstrated in this project undertaken for NAVANTIA SEANERGIES, whom we thank for their trust and professionalism at all times’.
For its part, SUARDIAZ Group has carried out all the logistics management within the shipyard, with unloading, inspections, location and dispatch of materials, as well as manoeuvres and handling. In this way, both MONTUBE and SUARDIAZ industrial services have been involved in the project.
